Default Collision insurance?

For the owners who own their cars (meaning, its paid off), do you have collision insurance? Do any of you drop down to only fire and theft, when the car is parked for the winter?

Because my car is insured as occassional, and now that its paid off, I'm thinking of cancelling the collision insurance and not putting it back on in the spring.

Thoughts?

I have been doing this for a few winters already. Get some money back to do more mods in the spring/summer months...

Leave the fire and theft on your policy and take off the collison (liability).

I do this James. Just fire and theft for the winter storage months. I wouldn't drive without collision insurance personally, but thats your call.

i used to drive without collision on the prelude and civic for insurance savings...
but now, with a car triple in value, collision is a must...

Is collision insurance the same as 2 way insurance?

Yes, ie. if you hit someone and are determined at fault. Your insurance will fix your car.
