Default Crashed S2000

Just drove NB on Queens Park and saw a Silver S2K being loaded onto a flatbed with the left rear wheel bent in. I am assuming he spun out in the corner (it was wet) and smacked the curb. No cops, maybe they left already.

Oh well shit happens, hopefully he wasn't hurt.

I hope it wasn't anyone here...I actually saw a Silver S2000 parked in front of the Hummingbird Centre earlier today. I hope it wasn't him/her.

Thank you for kind words.

Nobody was hurt.
However, I am scared to drive the car after it spun on me.

I probably will need to replace the passenger side rear suspension.

Drive carefully, especially in the rain. ( I've learnt the hard way )

Woah, I'm sorry to hear that. I have spun out on the highway as well but luckily didn't anyone or anything. Cold weather and S02's are not a good match! I found that out the hardway! Anyhow, welcome to the Toronto Forum. You will learn alot from this site and the tricky aspects of our car. Glad to hear you are alive and well. I suggest you take a performance course (Ian Law, Saab School) to hone in your skills as you will learn plenty. The S2000 is not the easiest car to master and I'm not even CLOSE! The only thing we can do is educate ourselves. Saab will be having another school coming up in a month or two. BMW is also having a 2 day school which I will be attending along with MAXRPM I beleive. I'm sure many others on the Toronto Forum will agree, performance lessons are the best so called "mod" you can do.

Take care!

What Saad said is dead on.

It kinda pisses me off that Honda continues to sell this car with no offering of any advanced driver training schools. Many other vendors do this, why not Honda? Especially with a car thats aimed totally at a more advanced driver?

Anyhow, get the car fixed and come out with us to a school. It makes a huge difference in your outlook on how to drive, it changes how you drive and it even makes things a lot more fun because you learn to control the car the way it was intended to be driven.

The S02's are a fantastic tire, they work great in the wet (we've tracked them and can prove it) they do suck in the cold, being a HP summer tire it just makes sense not to drive them in the cold...ahem Saad

I hope the next community organizers can get a school setup with Derek...he offered.

Thank you for support,

I will consider the driving school. Actually, I wanted to go with you for the last SAAB school, but wasn't sure if my insurance (State Farm) would cover it.

SAAB driving school sounds ironic to me 'cause my other car is SAAB 9000 Aero. I take corners faster in that car and it sticks like it is on rails. But you can't kick the tail out in that car even if you want to

Somebody with the user name "ivory" has rear suspension for sale.

I have sent him a PM but he haven't replied yet.

Does anybody know how to contact him?

Thank you,

Leon

Your insurance will cover it, its a driving school not a timed track race.

Best thing you can do
