Hey there jvf1, try Burning Rubber out in Oakville - I now use them to price check Tires23.

Burning Rubber Tire and Speed – One Stop Speed Shop or 647-988-BURN.

Never had them before and many people say good things about RE71's.
Thanks
I seriously don't think it's worth getting the RE71s unless you're competing bc they just don't last. Mine lasted about 4 to 5 track days and I consider my times fairly average. I doubt you'd feel any difference on the streets compared to your RS3s.

^^ That said, I'm planning on competing in OTA this year, so I think I'm going to use them again, especially with the rebate!

do you take them right down until they are a slick? Was your tire wear even across the tread?

Noooooooo! I thought we were going to be tire buddies!

I'm sticking with the RS3 / 4's until I deem myself worthy of upgrading. I still got time left in that stock suspension - I seem to have my alignment dialed in just right.

As for Yellow&DK, unless you're actually hitting up the track, I agree with LDubz that it's a real waste to be out on the street on RE71Rs - they've gone up in price (from what I understand) this year and if the early reviews for the RS4 are correct, the RS4s are pretty darn good for terminal grip and now come with stiffer sidewall (a key issue with the original RS3s) and the longevity hasn't been compromised. They also take heat far better than the RE71Rs.

My fronts were pretty close to being slicks and my rears still had some life to them, but there was also uneven wear. I ended up getting a fresh set of RS3s bc I wasn't able to order just the fronts.
