Default Drip..drip..poor!

Well it was a lovely evening out this sunday cruise night, so i decided i would take the hard top off for the first time and cruise around with my boys and my girl.

Weather was great, sun was shining until..

RAIN!

Turned from no rain to a torential downpoor in a matter of seconds!!! My friends warned me about this day..i just hadnt expected it to be the first time i had my hardtop off!!

Anyways i dont know how your theory about driving faster to have no rain in your interior works but when its coming down in buckets there is nothing to save your suede and leather interior from a unnecessary bath.

Long story short..i booked it to the nearest building with an underpass and fortunatly had some towels in my trunk to begin drying the car off. We will see how bad it is tomorrow morning :/

One good thing of this..the car handles absolutly amazing in heavy rain even with the factory track tires!

It has been raining for the last 2 weeks in toronto and i have taken the top off on the only one day where there was no forcasted rain. I have emergency plans as to where I can take my car if it rains when the top is off, but I rarely take it off anyways and the days I do, you better believe I have checked the weather forcast lol.

Lucky there was cover nearby so you can pull over to put the soft top up.

That's why I always keep a towel in the car - that scenario and potential aerial attack from birds.

See the "problem" with my S2 is that there is NO soft top..

The CR package comes with a hardtop ONLY..hence the reason this was even more of an unfortunate event lol.

BUT! checked her out this morning and the suede and leather is all good!

There is structural bracing where the soft top would go which is why there is no space for a soft top.
