Drive from LA to San Fran
Hi All,
I'm doing the drive from LA to San Fran at the end of the month. I have a week to do it. Will rent a convertible hopefully something cool - wish I was driving the S2K of course though.
Looking for any recos on the Pacific Coast Highway route 1. Landmarks, hiking trails, restaurants, hotels, specific side roads etc.
Open to all suggestions...

Here are some suggestions for the drive (in order going north)
Huntington Beach - surfing, under an hour south from LAX.
Santa Barbara - Nice, has wineries
Pismo Beach - dune buggies, def worth dune (Big Dunes!!)
San Simeon - Hearst Castle
Big Sur - Ventana Inn best hotel to stay at.
Carmel-by-the-sea - Pretty place
17 mile drive - between carmel and monterey
Monterey - cannery row, sea aquarium
Laguna Seca - 20 minute drive inland. Quiet on qualifying days, you get the best viewing spots. Carmel Valley Ranch is good place to stay if your planning an overnight and quick side strip to LS.

Just thought I would share some pics from the trip as I just got back. Had so much fun on the roads in Cali but of course missed the S2K's nimbleness as the Camaro SS was powerful but it is just such a beast size wise. Dropped by Laguna Seca as well but nothing going on except Skip Barber school

nice car pics, wish there were more vista shots! sounds like a drive you need to do at least once in a lifetime.
