Default Falken Azenis RT-615K

My local car club just scored a sponsorship with Falken Tires so I was checking out what they offer.

The Falken Azenis RT-615K seems to be the only performance tire they offer and I was wondering if any of you guys have experience with them or what youve heard?

I havent gotten a price just yet but if the quality isnt there I wont consider buying them no matter how cheap they are.

Thanks!

The rt615 was one of the goto summer/track tire years back before other tires like starspec were introduced. I would say they have a good reputation overall but there may be better offerings out now. The rt-615k is the upgraded model fwiw.

I had the Azenis on my RSX and after about 10 laps of Shannonville full track, you can definately feel them getting greasy. They were terrible in the wet, and the don't last very long. Noisy aswell, but the dry grip and feel was great. I went witht he Star Specs when I picked up my first S2000, and cause they are similar price, I'd take the Star Spec any day over the Azenis. I'm not saying they're crap, it's just the Dunlops are that much better.

Tread design is mad tyte jdm yo! hahahaha

Hey Brad

I second that with Dan
We've sold many RT-615's and the new K's and they're great on dry but horrible in wet conditions. Some guys at the shop ran them before and say the same. But wet condition is not the best with any street/track tire.
For the price of the 615's nowadays, you're better off going with Star Specs or pay a little more and get the RE11's

But depending on the price from your race club, if it's really cheap compared to the Star Specs, we believe in the Star Specs hands down at the shop!

As others have mentioned, they are pretty bad in the rain. My All-seasons are better in the rain.

Hahaha I also laughed at the all Seasons comment

And Thanks for the experience comment kryptong. So far the Dunlops have handled well in the rain and Ill likely eventually be purchasing them for the rear when my RE-11's are done.

I can say without a doubt whatever tires I purchase Ill be bringing them to you guys to install. Absolutly flawless installation!!

Thanks Mocky for your opinion!

It seems the general consensus is that they are not good in the rain. They are noisy. They do perform well in dry weather but for the price you are much better to go with Star Specs. Thanks guys!
