Default finally ordered supercharger

I finally ordered the vortech supercharger for my s and am hoping someone has some advise as to what I should be considering to go with the kit. Besides the kit i have ordered fuel presser guage, boost guage, air fuel guage, oil temp guage and oil press guage.
Has anyone installed this before and I would like to know potential problems I am facing down the road.
Any advise is appreciated, the kit will be here in about 5 days...
thx in advance Dave!!!!!

I don't know whether he's still on the board or not, but try PMing Vin Deasel (sp). He had a Vortech installed locally...

ps. The Vortech kit for this car only comes with intercooler. With Comptech, the intercooler is an option.

My polished cost me brand new, including all taxes and shipping, $6000.00 Can. I think they run between that and just over $7000.00. I did the install myself but if you were to pay someone, it might run about 15 - 20 hours labor, so this depends on what your mechanic charges per hour.

thanks very much xviper those threads, answered alot of questions, one of them was could I acually do it myself, so NO!!!!!!
i think the wiring would be my down fall.. anyhow how do you like it, and how much of a difference did it really make.
how much boost are you running and where does the boost kick in.
hats off to you in the self install, that was a pretty extensive and elaborate ordeal to tackle.
thx again and hope to see you at a meet down the road..
As for triniexr I paid 7200.00 cnd and install is estimated at 16 hours at a reduced rate, at honda cause my friend (the shop owner is friends with the owner of warncliff honda in London).
anyways I will post pics of the finished product in weeks to come, also I will post the dyno....

You're welcome. I'm glad it gave you the idea of what's involved. The install is not for everyone.
I love this thing. This is the way the car should have been powered to begin with (IMO). Boost begins to build around 3500 rpm but it doesn't really negate the parasitic drag of the blower till about 5000 rpm when you feel a difference from stock. In first gear, once you get to VTEC, all Hell breaks loose. An absolutely wonderful feeling. Mind you, I have 4.44s to take care of the low end. These two are just the perfect combination.
The Vortech pumps out 7 psi at max boost, at max revs (pre-'04).
