Ya, but the ones selling for a high as 40k have been there for months as that price is WAY too high...
Unfortunately, it's only worth what someone's willing to pay for it...

I understand and agree with what you're saying. But I think that it IS worth what I'm asking. I mean, brand new it's 49.5 before all the wonderful extra charges which would bring it up to 57. I don't think that what I'm asking is unreasonable.........I only have 29K kms.........and it's leisurely driven. I have another car which is my main means of transportation.
Does anyone else agree or disagree? cuz maybe i'll reconsider my price.

actually, you can get a new one for 45K ++
toosteeley got his from RH Honda for $45K + PST + GST
which means that 35-36K for a 2001 (regardless of clicks) is too high.
hell, in a month, you'll be able to get an '05 for at least a few bucks off MSRP.
which means your car is now 4 years old for only 13K off the price of a new one.
presented with that scenario, even you wouldn't pay yourself 36K for a 4 year old car, when you can get a new one for 49K. even if you had to beg, borrow or steal the extra 13K, it is BY FAR the better (and smarter) decision.
your car is worth high 20's....
why do you think all those S2000's aren't selling??
good luck.

So..... my lease is up Nov '05 with a buyout of $25,000... something like that.
What do you think I'll be able to get for that much then, I am thinking it would be hard to find a cheaper car then in good shape..... but I guess the way things are going low $20's might be possible??

in Nov/05, you'd be able to get an '06 at MSRP (MSRP is worst case).
your car would be 5 model years old...or 5 years old, regardless of when it was put on the road.
but, a $25,000 diff. on a 5 year old car is a lot different than a $13K difference on a 4 year old car.
that would be a truly financial decision - you're doubling your price point.
FWIW, i paid $32K for a 4 year old 740i (2001) - this car sold for 100+, 4 years ago.
it was strictly a financial decision. if i wanted a new one, my price point tripled!!
if this car was going to cost me $75K, it would be a totally different story....i would have bought new.

I know what a new one will cost, question is how much will used ones be, like '03's and '04's they might be only a few grand more .... say $33k then it might be worth upgrading.
Thing you have to remember about a used car, that you haven't put in your equation is depreciation. My '01 might be only worth $25k then, the new one "only" $50k but the new one a year later will be worth $35k where as mine would only drop a few thousand.
Decisions, decisions.
