of course it's important, but it may not be indicative of competitive performance.
let's look at nortel.....you guys do testing all the time....yet, your stock went from a hundred something to less than a buck (competive performance).....
not quite the same, but you get the idea...

au contraire Doug.. you are the hat man.. i have no issues. I'd sport a Renault hat, I like the blue 
Unfortunately my mother came back from India where Pirated F1 stuff can be attained by the droves.. and what pops out of her suitcase.. this Michael Schumacher jacket, that I must post pics of.. vodafone, this , vodafone that.. nice jacket, but I simply don't see myself wearing it.. tough as it was a gift.. but I trying not to wear it.. don't know what to tell her ?

Testing is indictaive of competetive performance - why do you think they measure it by timing it??? What it does NOT take into account is race strategy, etc....

correct, but in a race, there are also outside influences.....hence it becomes a race.
and no other stock in your sector lost the percentage value yours did....
