Good insurance company?
Well after four years, PC ditched me. Garaged w/boomerang! No claims, no tickets & 6-stars with 10% off but I had work rims on at the last inspection and they cited one of the bylaws that let them cancel my policy.
$1200 per year, 27 years old. Any recommendations?

"Rule #54
Any automobile, ... that have been modified, reconstructed, restored or altered in any way other than standard upgrades made by the recognized manufacturer of the vehicle. This would include material alteration by addition, deletion or substitution, including all performance influencing modifications th at would enhance performance or use"
I had a deck, drop, bolt ons too but that was all on in the past and they inspected and said NP, it was "oem". Geez. I even called and they said no problem with insuring since I changed rims this year.

wow, that sucks balls....does this rule #54 BS go for ALL ins co's in Canada/Ontario, or just with PC? i'd think it's just PC since other companies allow slight modding in most cases.
i hope you check with PC that they let you off "free and clear" kind of thing....cause when an ins co. drops you, other co's may take it as you 'had your ins cancelled' and that's a big nono in other companies books. (also co's can **** you over if you dont tell them of mods/add'ns if they want to be real stingey).
anyways, try Bel-Air Direct, prob your best rate there. else if u can get a discount with TD, try them. Also there is The Personal who are usually cheap, or Farmer Insurance (I believe a division of TD or something??). Also tokyo-marine...but they may only be corporate.

Yeah I think it's just PC. It's a company another board member recommended. Really good in my opinion, just a stupid clause. I'd go back to PC if my car is 100% bone stock.
Thanks for the tip rev, I talked to the agent and they said it's a bad drop but if I cancel before the date they gave me then it's OK and turns into a good drop.
