Default HANSON GTR Advanced Driving School

Got this in my email. For those of you that know Derek this is AWESOME news!!!

Saab Enhanced Driving School students:

The Saab Owners' Club of Canada Inc. will not be having a driving school this spring so I have attached a school being offered in April at the Mosport development track by Derek Hanson, a lifetime member of the club and his son Peter. This school is not a Saab Owners' Club event.

For those of you not familiar with this track (it is not the full road course) it is a very technical track similar to Shannonville and very twisty so that you can fine tune your driving technique. Fun is also included.

When the Saab Club schools are set up we will contact you again.

Thanks,

John Burnet

Dear Friends:

Anxious to get back on the track? I have organized three events this year that promises to be exciting and fun!

The HANSON GTR Advanced driving School puts you on the track with experienced instructors who share your passion for a unique driving experience. Through our in-depth classroom and personal in-car instructions you will learn how to master the skills necessary to handle your car. For those of you that are experienced at these sorts of events, we do offer an advanced group with the provision for solo lapping.

During the day you will learn various driving techniques, vehicle dynamics, as well as discovering the limits of vehicle adhesion.

Although the setting is a race track, the HANSON GTR Advanced driving School is not a racing school.

Our events have been deliberately planned for the Spring and Fall seasons. History has shown that we can usually look forward to a day with both sunshine and a spat of rain for a truly unique driving experience.
All our events are scheduled for Fridays, the dates being April 14th, September 15th and November 17th.

You will find attached the following:

1) HANSON GTR Advanced Driving School Application Form
2) Information Package
3) Drivers Release Waiver

Students are accepted on a first come first serve basis & space is limited.

For further information please contact me.

Sincerely,

Peter Hanson

Registration form if anyone's interested.

Screw it. This software sucks at parsing URLs.

NICE, all the Hanson, no midget.

Perfect, If anyone has had Peter in car, or talked to Derek about something off the record, you know this is going to be a great time regardless of it being the DDT.

As you know, I had Peter in my car one day at Shannonville, it's so obvious he is the real deal compared to most ( not all ) of the other instructers.

If he had dough backing him, he'd have a serious ride on a serious team, no question.

I think I'll go to these, you know damn well its not going to be the basic take the normal lines around.

I need to burn off my partially left over R's anyhow on the MINI

I really like this line in the info package:
one-way All traffic on the track moves in the same direction. You will not see on-coming vehicles.
