If so, do you need a rollbar?

Thinking of registering for it, but not sure if I can go w/o one.

^ you mean the bmw-trillium club?

if so, yes - been to it twice. and for their rules - nope, the stock roll hoop will suffice.

I was under the impression you needed roll over protection.
One of the BMW clubs will not allow rag tops at all!

Yeah, I think the Genesee Valley one doesn't...only because they can't find any instructors willing to ride in one. I believe VIR has an outright ban on S2ks for some reason too.

i can understand if it's an open lapping day because some tend to exceed their limits (because some can't get it out of their heads that they are not racing); but the bmw-trillium ones are instructional events so you're not supposed to go all out anyways.

ha ha Shane I've been out 4 times.....

Shane's lack of track days are attributed to:

a) 1987 Rotary technology.
b) Married life.
c) Spent too much on the wedding.
d) All of the above.

P.S. Great schools they are my favorites. Good value, skid pad, and good instructors = fun times.
