how come ? .. their level of what's termed PRESBYOPIA..

diff people have diff levels of presbyopia, something that no doctor can predict if or when it will set in, but it does and will set in eventually.. as no matter what we do, our oculur muscles age and can no longer accomodate on their own, even if laser was done a decade ago..

my mom doesn't need glasses to read, but she needs glasses to drive.....

her current prescription is similar to mine.

I don't want to do the surgery, and then have that make me have to wear reading glasses.

I do know that for Hyperopia, which the entire Lasik industry is behind in treating.. some light years behind..

but if you're +0.5 to anything over +3.0 , you're not going to get desired results.. hence stories of re-treats, the use of glasses for driving, and of course reading..

But sounds like a rare case of what's called a mild to medium Myop.. -1.00 to -9 range.. still very treatable w guaranteed good results.

Sorry if this is redundant, but in your opinion, Lasik MD is now the best option for this type of surgery? From a quick comparison, it also seems like the cheapest. Good combo!

I was looking at getting the surgery and stumbled on this thread. There's a lot of good information here.

Part of the reason LasikMD is cheaper is because they have a deal that is $1200 off until jan. 31st. Now I wouldn't be surprised to see this back in a couple months, even at that though, they seem to be very competitve.

I'll be sure to tell everyone every detail when I'm done my surgery on the 29th.

I was pretty nervous, but now I can't wait..I'm actually retardedly excited

Much like the first time you tried on a leotard. Will you be wearing one during the surgery??

Hey Mike, I had my eyes done 3 1/2 years age by Dr. Wallerstein. At the time I think it was called Lasik Canada or something like that, now they are LasikMD. I did alot of research on this and in the end I figured I would go speak to my eye Doctor, she recommened TLC and booked me a consultaion with them. After the consult I went back to her to ask here some questions, she wasn't there so I was started talking to one of here associates, cool guy, drove a 300zx, anyways he told me that she was affiliated with TLC so that is why she was pushing so hard for me to go there. I told him about Lasik Canada and he said there there was nothing wrong with them. I went there and the price was a 1/4 of what TLC wanted, I asked which of the Doctors had done the most surgerys, they told me Dr. Wallerstein so I booked it with him. All in all I was very happy and I would recommened Dr. Wallerstein.

Hey Age.. I remember when you got it done, Glad your eyes are still holding up.

Are you still at your dad's place? I've only dropped by a couple times, but you weren't there both times.
