I need some help here. This morning I took my S in for service at Markham Honda, and for them to have a listen to my clutch rattle problem...(tsb54) and wind noise that I was haering in the cabin (tsb37). They just called me and told me that my warranty wont cover either one, even though I have extended comprehensive warranty until 2006. What should I do? Honda quoted me $300 for the latch striker replacement and $1200 for the new disc. Can anyone reccommend another dealership, or am I stuck with this big bill??

 

TSB's are only covered during the original warranty period.

i.e. 3/60.

 

Really? news to me, good thing I bitched about it long before my warranty expired.. they will have it on record.

 

why did you have to bitch about it??

why didn't you just get it done?

 

Usually if there is a TSB to back up a problem with the car and you bitch enough to Honda they will help in the repairs if the car is out of warranty. Talk with the service manager but if you get no help call Honda Customer Relations.

i don't understand the hesitancy with you guys to get the TSB's done as soon as they are made public....

 

Just called Honda Canada, they are looking into it......keep you posted....

 

I took my car into Formula they did it no problem. Took a bit longer but they did it without me bitching.

 

what about cars with AFTERMARKET SUSPENSIONS...
will Formula honda bytch?

or better yet if you have modds can u go to dealerships to fix your car... will the mechanic leave a memo on your record? will it void my warrenty for certain parts if being modded? should of really thought about this b4 changing stuff...
