Thanks for the re=install tip! Also, the reason it was so hard is because I was using a wrench .

The passenger side is harder, I have no idea how to get to the bolts on the front. I gotta actually look at the DIY now, I been going all on the fly until now. Its like when you open a new electronic toy, and you just start using it without reading the manual. Who does that too?
dude, tilt the seat forward and slide it all the way back for the front bolts - 12mm
then slide it all the way forward for the 14mm rear bolts. It's a 5min job.

After you get out the bolts, reach underneath and un-plug the seat belt/srs sensor.

and done.

The passenger seats were covered by this plastic thing. I just used my wrench and forced it off, luckily no damage.

Unfortunately, while taking out my driver seat I scratched my car, and so I have scratches on my blue paint. Also, while taking out the passenger side I dinged the center console pretty good.

The reason I gave up the shower.

Dont most of us have a story like this? I know I do but not nearly that bad. Maybe let the car run with the heat on?

My theory is that everything can be restored (for a price). Been drying for about an hour now, so its getting there. Going to shampoo the seats too.

Also just got my silencers in for my exhaust, man they are tight. I dont think I can take them out... It makes the exhaust a lot more quiet though! Very handy actually, for if I have a date. I can actually talk to them on the drive .

the front and rear bolts have different torque values, so two of them are more difficult to remove than the others.

Yeah the seat base can be really sharp and they will scratch things up if you aren't careful. One way to remove them is to lower the softop and pull them straight up so they don't scratch things. On reinstall perhaps consider doing that.

That sucks bro, i got caught without my HT once before and got absolutly pounded but fortunatly i found a hotel underpass and had towels in the trunk so managed to dry it off for the most part. Just keep doing what you can to get that moisture out, gl!

Well I found out the cars bolts are 12 mm in the front, and 14 mm in the back. The whole car is in metric, which is good to know now. The passenger seat had the most awkward bolt to come out though, so I found somewhere around a 3-4 foot extension for the socket wrench I couldnt stop laughing. It was so long, the wrench was banging my windshield where the mirror drop down thing is.

This is actually a really great experiance, lots of fun. Im almost glad that I left my top down. I love how its so easy to turn a huge break down, into a fun, breakthrough experiance!
