Hey have any of you have had any luck with importing from the US just wanted more help on this matter

Yes, do a little search in the toronto forum,

someone had experience with this before

BTW, nice PPD 68.7 with 0 day age hehe

It's there - I've search on it before... basically to sum it up...

1. duty is 6.1% - you also have to pay GST at the border and then PST when you register the car in your province. you also have to pay other 'random' taxes like air conditioning, etc. (amounts to about $400 i believe)
2. NO warranty
3. you have to get DRL's installed to pass the federal vehicle inspection.
4. You must give the VIN of the vehicle to US customs 72 hours prior to bringing it across (not totally sure on this one)

You can thank PLYRS 3 (King of imports, from what I hear...aka "Jeebus", i think) and ZRPM for the above info.

Hey just had another question, I live in windsor, and cross the border daily now say if something comes up can I take it to a dealership in detroit and keep the warranty or is it gone...

thanks for the info

do I have to play gst if its a private car....like in ontario how if its a private deal u only pay 1 tax

thanks guys...for anwsering my newbie questions

No warranty for Honda, but there is for other marks such as BMW etc...they will honor the warranty as they aren't facists.

i know you told me this yesterday....but you better call a local dealership and confirm.

i'll check the books of the 7 tonight....it should say where the warranty is honoured and where it's not.
