Arthur is pretty damn far from most of the regular Southern Ontario stuff, meets etc wise.
We used to do some drives in the KW region, not sure if that still happens.
Either way, welcome! Maybe you can make it to some of the more large scale events like the Niagara summer drive or Muskoka etc

Lol.. I wasn't too concerned about meets in the beginning. I have a feeling I will leave my car in Ottawa for a while. Just was wondering if anything like "Don't go to fergus it's haunted" or something was up.

It a very quaint small town....I grew up in Guelph which is not far from Fergus.
There is a Big Scottish Festival in August every year.

Fergus has some really nice roads around it. I really like driving thru Fergus and the Elmira area. there is always the Elora Gorge nearby- its super cool to visit- every year someone dies falling into the gorge- but its not haunted. You are 80 minutes from the molson centre in barrie for TLMC autocross, 90 minutes from WOSCA autocross at centralia (that's the club jvf1 and I belong to). Grandbend is about 15 minutes further. Mosport is in bowmanville.
welcome to the "no traffic jams" part of Ontario.

I live in Guelph, and can vouch for Fergus being a nice quiet town. Elora might be more interesting to you. It's a few kms away from Fergus, but has more shops, pubs etc.
Either way, it's a great part of Ontario.
Toronto Motorsport Park in Cayuga is about a 90 minute drive and is a fun technical track. No roll-bar required.
Welcome to the area.
