That is why I think you will go forced induction, supercharger most likely, if you buy an s2000.
i think you are right, going from an almost 400whp turbo car to a 250hp NA is not easy. im more of a turbo person.
If you track, you will supercharge. The linear power curve works, while the turbo spike doesnt.

true. is there anyone on there has a supercharged s2k?

Telling an STI guy about the power curve won't help. He/she would need to drive the s2000 on the track in NA form to understand the cars on edge behavior.

LOL. i remember one of my RWD friend say AWD guys doesnt know whats throttle control.

Like an on off switch

Im vortech supercharged w 310whp. I have only taken the car to the track 2 times with it since adding the kit. Looking to go out again for sure next season with some good tires. Compliments the car well on the track, very predictable, which is what i was looking for.

there should be a post of my dynograph somewhere on here but since its AP1 torque is 190. Stock AP1 motor with fujisubo exhaust and stock cat. Looking to do a new clutch as its starting to slip on quick shifts.

Between my friends and myself whom are all past boosted Subie owners, we don't regret. We do look back at pictures sometimes and agree that we did have nice looking cars and such, but no regrets. S2000 is a whole other type of car to be honest. It's only got 2 seats. Its got no roof. Its RWD and is a bigger challenge to drive because of that in itself. It's also 500lbs lighter from a GD STi.

As for forced induction... It's hard to say. It's a personal thing to be honest. I am happy with the car and the power levels as is. My other two friends that owner boosted Subies are also happy, though one of them wants a super charger kit mostly for the charger sound. Then we have another friend who's not an ex Subaru owner, but he wants to turbo his S2k. So like I said, its very personal.

Hope you find your perfect car!

AP2 would be nice but mostly depends on the budget.

nice to know non of you regret the switch. I think after i got a s2k, i would leave the engine stock for a while and learn how to drive it first. but i will probably end up supercharge it cause im love BIG power.

not sure how you could only make the car go around TMP in 1:22! That car is a beast. How long have you owned it? It looks a lot like an old s2ki members car.
