Default Looking for an Ap1 Block or Full engine

If anyone has an engine or block from a well maintained lower mileage ap1 please hit me up. If you know of anyone that has one please refer them to me. Thanks for reading. This is going to be the worst summer of my life.

Someone put a grenade in my motor. There is a long post in the under the hood forum. Low oil pressure engine light came on and the motor expired , the car was full of fresh oil and a new Honda filter, no idea why it decided to fail, I suspect the oil pump but who knows. My motor had the upgraded 4 hole oil jets too.

Anyways I'm looking for a replacement if anyone can supply one.

Japan direct sells f20c2 engines. but they come with tranny, driveshaft etc stuff you dont need. maybe you could make a deal with them to just buy the engine? heres the link:

or you could build up a 2.4 using all honda oem parts. it would probably cost a bit more than a used f20c: http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/06...ild/index.html

We should do your engine swap on the tech day, several of us on the board have done it our selves and it could be pretty speedy lol.

Reapur that would be sweet, like a community volunteer day for the less fortunate - me, lol.

Matt-P thanks for the link, I'll check it out.

O'Malley, thanks for the offer, I may call you as I find out more about my engine.
I've dropped the oil pan and pulled all of the rod caps, lots of bi-coloured metals in the pan - silver and copper. I pulled all of the rod caps and the rod bearings look okay, so the mains have been killed , maybe the thrust washers . Oil pressure was low at hot idle only, the engine didn't feel bad at all, no CEL no change in power, just some added vibration at the clutch engagement point and a bit more NVH entering the cabin at times. I've got to open the bottom end and see what it looks like, and I have to check the cylinders. The crank may likely be damaged and the main bearings and thrust washers, unsure about the cylinders, top end is fine.

What clutch are you running? There's been a bunch of crank walk happening even on stock clutches. I'm wondering if the thrust bearing went out and those deposits clogged the mesh screen on the oil pump pickup fixing you the oil light.

You may be able to get away with new bearings depending how far the crank walked.
