I have one of these too. It's a beast. Great for the garage, but definitely not a traveling track jack! lol

Even at my height I have to use a piece of wood under the tires to be able to jack from the front centre jacking point. The sides are no problem but I'd rather jack the front up at once.

It is damn heavy. Lol.

Yeah, even with this jack, I can't reach my front centre jack point without driving up on wood blocks first.

I bought this jack one year ago thinking it could get under the front of the car to the front center jack point, but no go. Even with oem ride height it was a fair distance away from getting to the jack point. I still like this jack though, it works great. I will put a regular jack under the driver side lift point and jack the car up a bit and then the Michelin jack will roll under the front center lift point fine, the car just needs to go up a few inches.

Whats the reach on this michelin jack?

I'm guessing we'd need something like this Omega 29023 for the front center jack http://www.shinnfuamerica.com/Produc...ack/29023B/763

more info here:

edit: the total length of the Omega is 10" longer than the Michelin

I think I'm going to pick one of these up tomorrow. The one I have works ok for my S but when I go to lift my truck it barely gets the tire off the ground.

That still might not reach, because it is the high point of the angled metal near the base of the jack where the pumping handle connects that hits up against the lower bumper/lip well before the lift disc can reach the center lift brace.

With the Michelin jack I just have to jack up the driver side a few inches using any regular jack, and then the Michelin jack rolls under just fine and it doesn't hit the bumper/lip. Two-jack method needed, but no biggie.

^ Exactly. The reach isn't the issue, it is the thickness at the pivot end.
Still a great jack though.

I bought one today too. Poor kid at canadian tire got yelled at by the manager for not restocking them. The kid must have been 100lbs. It's a f***ing 100lbs jack for christ sake, the kid can't lift it onto the cart to push it to the isle, let alone lift it onto the shelf.
My arms also gave out trying to carry the box to my car. One of those times I thought to myself "I should get out of the habit of parking at the back of the lot when i'm not in my s"
