Done - both sides took a total of 45 minutes, including lifting and removing wheels and everything.

Simple...

I didnt do the rotors - theyre fine, no need to change them yet. Ill have to bed the pads properly tomorrow.

Hope you used brake quiet on the back of the pads and anit sieze on the sliders

Anti-sieze on the retainers... not sliders.. had to fix because of mr technical..

I didnt use either of those; popped out the pads and put the new ones in.

Do I need to use them?

no, the shims and grease are to prevent them from squealing, nothing more. The S2000 has boot which cover and seal the guide pins, not sure about yours.
