Default My car is off the road for a while

So just got back from teknotik and they concluded it isn't the engine mounts. It's the bearings inside the transmission, the output shaft more specifically. So basically I need a new transmission, or to rebuild my current one. On top of that, I'll replace the clutch (because it's at the end of its life now) so there is more money on top of that. I may be out of commission for a while...

If anyone spots an ap2 transmission for sale, let me know. I may try dropping out my transmission in the mean time, still unsure.

I believe repairing the output bearing shaft isn't so bad. It can be done without dropping the tranny.

Let me see if I can find the DIY/thread

Curious how much oil drain out of it and what it looks like. How often do you change your oil?
Could be a few things, low oil, starvation, contamination, quick shifting

This problem of the tail shaft bearings does happen, but seems to be mostly an older ap1 thing, if that is what the issue is.
