My Encounter with a Turbo'ed Civic SIR
The more I drive it, the more I love it. Another one of those nights where I took the car out for a 'leisurely' stroll and some practice.
Cold night (about 11:40am), but I wanted to drive with the top off since I can get much better visibility all around so I wore a fleece top. Drove around the north-eastern part of the city, Markham/Major Mac, to avoid the people and traffic. Saw many Corolla's, Camry's, vans and proteges tonight, nothing too exciting. Just when I was nearing my home at around Steeles/Markham I pulled to the right lane at the red light as there was a car in the left lane. Lo and behold, the white Civic SIR was beside me. Figured he wouldn't try anything funny for obvious reasons. Boy did I think wrong as I thought his car was stock. So the light turns green, we both roll off the line and he guns it initiating the challenge. He was ahead for all of first gear. Bad shift to second (I think) because I felt my rev-limiter in first so I lost some pull there. Passed him and gained about 1 car length in second and maintained that lead in third. We both stopped at the next light and exchanged brief words.
me: "Holy S**t man! Is your car modified?!"
asian dude: "Yeah, turbo man! How did you think I was keeping up!?"
me (finally noticing all his glowing gauges beside his windshield): "Damn, nice!"
To conclude my dramatic, heart-stopping dialogue, I just wanted to add in a little disclaimer: that I'm still learning the car and yes, what I did tonight was pretty stupid
Would've been nice to find out how much boost/compression he was using though
Anyway, gave that turbo i-VTEC some

Just play it safe bro. Hope your needs have been satisified because eventually you will get caught and they won't go easy on you.
The track is where it's at. BTW don't race a turbo'ed rsx-s because your ass will be handed to you

cold temp + s02's + high speeds + the amt. of cops in that area = bad idea
