New
hey guys I am new around here I wanted a S2000 for the last 10 years but things always came first like house and grown up car and finally I got to a point where it was time. I probably spent 30min a day for atleast 5 years looking at S2k's for sale and always ended up on this site. So I finally found one and it was the color combo I wanted Silverstone on Red. I really like GPW but they are hard to find and I cant have 2 black cars as my benz is a mission keeping clean.
My car came with a couple mods like Prm intake full Invidia cat back, stage 3 clutch and the owner said it was ""chipped".
So after driving the car only once I had to get rid of the Invidia exhaust it was loud as ****, and I come from alot of modded cars. So I had to put stock back on but then I found that the car was running straight pipe and there was no Cat..How did my car get etested with no cat? I am now looking to grab a cat to throw on.
And is there a way to see if the car is chipped?
I guess dyno is the best way to see whats going on?
Thanks guys, cant wait to hit a meet

Ive never heard of an s2000 being 'chipped'.... unless it was one of those stupid ebay chip scams... You can sell me the invidia pm me. As far as your car getting e-tested with no cat... thats impossible.

e-test with no cat can actually pass using that specific car! lol
i've seen shop do it... but the probe was not placed into the tailpipe, rather, they had it a feet or two back...
