I was thinking the same thing- for a nearly free car, i might just swallow my pride and drive with 2 pedals. he finally did find a buyer- but it took over a year.

I think where you live and how bad traffic congestion is makes a huge difference
I know people that dailies through crazy traffic with a super light flywheels, but that is surely not me haha
Darcy you live in the far west end where no man land is, so I'm sure you'd enjoy the daily commute with a manual car over an automatic

Referring to your friend's legacy.. I probably won't take those old automatic slushbox too even if it was for free
Those old 6 gears heavy transmissions and engines are nothing like the new ones being offered nowadays
