I don’t know if the front wheels are straight but if they are, someone who wants a set of AP2 V3’s should offer a trade +cash for their wheels. I doubt he’d sell them outright because he probably wants a roller.

That is Nik's old car and some have tried to get parts from the seller, not selling anything but the entire car from the looks of it.

I offered my AP1 wheels and cash, to no avail. That's my old car.

Why didn't you buy it back from the insurer? You can still get reimbursed and then ask to buy it back for scrap.

They said I would have to forfeit the reimbursement if I wanted my car back. I'd be buying a scrap car for the price of a nice one. They weren't willing to negotiate on that at all.

That sounds like your insurance company was trying to hustle you

And some guy scoops it up at an auction for a couple grand. Insurance companies are only interested in profit... "Like a good neighbor..."

Doesn't really matter to me. As much as I wish it never happened, the insurance company lost big time on this one.

I don't know that insurance companies lose big on any write off, they're always making money, and saving since June 1st 2016. I have mine insured for appraised value. I recommend that for any mint condition S2000 owner. Just sucks to know that omesopride and joy can end up at auction and chopped up.
