I know this has been beat to death but what brand oil and weight are you guys running?
I was thinking of running Motul 10w-30 with the OEM filter.
This is an emotionally charged subject with most S2Kers, so I fully expect to get my butt fried on this one.

However, here goes:

Whatever synthetic is on sale and a good filter, Fram or OEM comes to mind.

I usually use 5w30, but the 10w30 is great too.

I change the oil every 5000km, but the filter every 10,000km, or once per season.

I have 110,000km on the car and put on 10K kms per season, with multiple track days.

Doesn't burn any oil at the track, tho' will a bit during everyday driving. Like 100ml per 1,000kms.

You know that 5w30 isn't recommended for the s2000 but 10w30 and 5w40 are recommended right?

Yes... I sourced a place in town where I can get 5w-40 Motul 8100 X-cess.
I'll be doing a quick oil change tomorrow
