Default oil change / winter storage question

My S is due for an oil change but I am storing it as of Nov 1. Should I not change the oil because it is being stored or is it better to change the oil before winter storage?

From what I've heard, it's better to change it now rather than leaving it. Something to do with the corrosion of the oil not being good for a sitting engine. Hope this helps. Cheers.

I think they recommend you change before you store, then again when you start driving again.

beachbum is right...

this is because engine oil oxidizes, over 6 months period regardless of milage, you should change out the oil. It could corrode your engine block

when you store your car make sure you change out the oil, and when you drive it again in spring, make sure you change it out again.

Also, some ppl like to inflate their tires more to aviod flat spot.

I could buy a lot of beer with the money being spent on the oil changes.

if you don't store your car.. you would go over 6000km thru winter anyway.. so it's the same math...

ah well.. who's counting... everyone is different i guess...
i was doing the calculation based on the standard 20,000km per year .... 4 months of storage will be around 6000 km...
