+1 on flashpro and such

unless it was an overrev which immediately affect ap2's or lack of engine oil

Low oil? There is only a handful of lapping days on his car and no over-revs.... right mike? It's just odd that there was no blowing of engine before the flashpro..... curious to hear more though

Keep us posted, and hang in there buddy

You think it had anything to do with the flashpro. Was it tuned properly.
It has absolutely nothing to do with that!
+1...

Mike's car was tuned by Brian at APH, a day after they did mine. I did extensive data logs with my car, and everything looked great. 0 knock count, very conservative/safe AFR's, progressively richer AFR in the upper RPM range, the engine is not pulling any ignition timing, etc. From what I know, Mike's mapping was very similar to mine, as it should have been, given we had pretty similar mods at the time of tune. The only differences were he had a lower vtec engagement, probably due to him having an AEM CAI vs. my FIPK, and straight-through 70mm test pipe vs. my resonated 63mm. The basemap from Hondata, which he used prior to the tune, was even more conservative. Sorry for speaking on behalf of Mike, but I had to jump in on this one to quash any doubts about the Hondata Flashpro and/or tune done by APH. It would not be fair to either company to make assumptions and jump to conclusions that they were to blame for this mishap (especially Brian @ APH).

best of luck getting it back on the road!

and +1 that building your engine would kinda be a waste of resources unless you plan on pulling some schumacher shit round the hood. supercharger all the way

Sorry to hear about the mishap mikey

I personally am waiting for Kenneth Lau to come back from HK ( Tuner for Skunk2) before i get my flashpro tuned... I'm running the toda map and the car feels amazing and fast, I don't trust any tuners here other than DMT (Tony the Tiger) and Turtle (K.Lau) for honda tuning.

anyways buy Brads Motor and get it done... no point in wasting money to building an N/A s2k unless you go k24.

Just buy a supercharger

To answer a few questions, Ill be totally honest. My car hydrolocked from my intake. The guy I bought the intake from plugged the water drain hole, not allowing any water to drain out. It became a lake, and all it could suck up was water. The person I sold the intake to, I made sure that he knew not to plug this hole, it could be costly. Im still not happy about this, its what pisses me off the most... It was NOT the tune, it was not even my driving it hard, or the track driving. It was the stupid hole that got plugged.

Also, my car has warrenty, but they wont cover it. There is approximately 4 holes in the block, the size of a toonie. My car is currently parked over at Parkway Honda, not sure how Ill get it home. Anyone wanna help me fred flinstone it?! I have lots of options Im weighing them all out now.

For the record, I trust Brian at APH tuning my car any day, he did part throttle tuning as well. My car made 226 whp in the top, and massive gains in the mid range, I loved it.

That makes perfect sense. Thanks for the clarification.

The way I look at things is that there's a risk with any modifiction and you have to be prepared to suck up the expense if something goes wrong, otherwise keep it stock. Hydrolocked s2k engines wih CAI's are pretty frequent on these forums even when used as directed, I wouldn't take one if it was given to me for free. Good luck with the repairs.

Just make sure you flatbed it when you decide to tow it away. The dealer's going to want about five grand or more to fix that problem, you can buy an entire ap2 engine for much less and get someone to do the swap for you or help you do it yourself, Speedstar ? or fellow members ?
