Default Simon visits Speedstar!!

Well, I'm in Toronto visiting family for the week, so I decided to visit Speedstar today before the snow storm hit (boo). Damn I miss the big city (I live in honky tonk Petawawa) Nothing beats zipping down the 401 in this car....

Anyways I met William, super nice guy, who gave me a tour of the shop. Albert, sweet car by the way.
I was very impressed by the layout of the shop, very clean. Many items on display and in stock. Most shops i've been to is just a messy closet full of boxes and parts. I hung out there for about 45 minutes then got on my way, but not without leaving with a few little trinkets (some resevoir socks and decals).

Thanks for a great visit William, I hope to be back soon for those bronze Works wheels!! (gotta ask the wife first)

Cheers
Simon

Do the resevoir sock actually do something or are they just for looks?

The Spoon Sports corporate answer:

Spoon reservoir tank covers serve three purposes. One, they help keep the reservoir tank caps in place during racing and spirited driving, helping prevent spillage of vital fluids. Second, even if the caps are jarred open, the tank covers help contain the spill and minimize fluid loss. Third, the tank covers prevent dust and debris from accumulating on the tanks and potentially contaminating the brake fluid. Furthermore, they help prevent the brake fluid from absorbing moisture from the atmosphere, which otherwise leads to erosion of braking performance and components.

The Simon answer:
I had 20 bucks to blow and they look neat.

I got old white sweat socks on mine.

Vince uses his old leotards, and Mike, well Mike is using old condoms. Not used - just past the best before date. He dosen't get out much.
