Someone I know in a related industry says the police have contracts with towing/impound companies. The cop would not allow your tow truck to hookup.
The real criminals are the towing/holding companies for over inflating their rates.


There is a big sign in my area on the 401 which says 50km over posted speed limit is a $10,000 fine with immediate impounding of vehicle.
I think the sign becomes invisible at 149km/hr.

Well I had a close call once. I was driving 140 and I see this car coming up fast. I slam down on the break and move to the slow lane. Next thing I see was a OPP doing a fly by.
