Hey Albert what's your top speed on the long straight?

With my supercharger and '04 tranny on my '01 I'm hitting the top of 4th gear before the 50foot so I just brake earlier than normal. Seems to be about 180ish maybe higher (tires messing up speedo me thinks).

Racin before the supercharger I was mid 4th at about 165 - 169 as well in my stock '01. Switch to the supercharger I guess 180 makes sense it takes a lot more power for that extra little speed and I am carrying a passenger.

Funny that you are in fifth though I still didn't need to grab fifth and I'm running an '04 transmission.

I will be at the lapping day on the 29th at Calabogie. I only ran the track once I was running around 2:40 - 2:45 on stock S02's stock brakes etc with a passenger.

Stock S2000 should be in the 2:35-2:38 range on R's I believe. If you really push it 2:30

I'm running 255's RA1's on all four corners, shifting to 5th at the 150 marker and leaving in 4th through T1-Fabi. With the Ap1 motor you have another 1k RPM to work with?

re: Calabogie

with my 87 CRX was running 32's (Hankooks), 28's in my friends stock 06 BMW 330i (235 RA1's), 23's in a mildly prep'd 2G RX7 (RA1's)......Given this my prediction for the S2k is 2:24's.....this was the class winning time last year which i NEED to beat. wish me luck

re: random:
Does your trailer hitch have a quick discount feature, how does it mount?

2:24? Ummm that would be super balls out I guess. Did you roll your fenders? I have 245 Nittos on the front and they rub on CE28N's, only on bumps though, 275's in the rear.

I ran a few laps with 235's all around and it is very neutral it's BS needing this staggered setup .

Trailer hitch does not quick disconnect it mounts to the trunk and the bumper, if you want it let me know and I'll remove it this weekend and you can have it on the 29th of august.

Wait you leave it in 4th for T1 fabi? I go to third, how freakin' fast are you taking turn 1? I take it at 110 and that's about as fast as the car can go it seems as I get forced out right to the rumble strip, I figure I could do it at 120 if I wasn't a big chicken, but not much faster than that.

I'm slow on the track but fast at auto-x, I just don't want to crash

Isn't the S2000 in GT1?

Wouldn't that be Greg Kirstead's time than of 2:27? Being the best? Greg is amazing, how the heck did he run a 2:27 with a Miata with ZERO power I will never understand.

Ian is pretty fast running 2:33's in his S2000.

Funny thing, I was following a miata around the shannonville last time I was there, he was obviously slow and I basically coasted down the straights, but I was taking corners faster than ever as he turned in I would forget to brake and just turn in and follow him. I find I am going so damn fast down the straight that I brake too much for the corners.

My exhaust is so damn loud I can't hear if the tires are working or not which is annoying.

-I'm running four OEM AP2 rear rims. No fender roll and very minimal rub. Seems like a decent setup for the $. At Mosport I was on 235's all around, the handling was relatively neutral, unfortunately I didn't have enough track time to mount up the 255's.

-How much do you want for the hitch? I was planning on just making one but wasn't really in a any rush and haven't got around to it. I was concerned with a design that mounted to any part of the trunk (thin metal), there are some ugly pictures floating around. Any issues?

-T1 fabi: only looked at a few laps but telemetry shows a min corner speed of 109-114ish

-The S2k is in GT2 with RA1's, GT1 with bi-groove RComp's, GT3 on streets. <<--new tire rule for 2008.

-Greg's 27's is a very good time, unfortunately he was propositioned by GT2.

-At Mosport I was ~8 seconds ahead of Ian, hopefully I'll keep a similar relative margin at Calabogie......longer track and all. Although I would imagine Ian has more seat time at Calabogie and will be pushing hard to stay close. tough to say.

-You should run at the nationals, more S2k's the better!

I'll just give you the hitch don't make one.

I'll sell you the ball attachment for $20 though including the ball .

I'll have to see what my trunk looks like when I remove it. Others have had no issues with these hitches I know what you are talking about with the metal pulling but that is another design that was just bad. I put huge washers around the bolts to avoid any issues.
