STI vs. M Coupe ?
#11
I had the S as a daily driver, even in the winter. With snow tires, it's not a problem.
So I'm thinking i should just put some winters on the M coupe and drive it. I am leaning towards the m... it corners well, lots of grip, good power, it's kinda like the S in a sense that you really have to squeeze to get all of the power, but with a lot more torque.
STI's a solid car though, the quality is not as nice as the bmw, but at the end of the day, boxer 4 turbo with AWD is a lot of fun, especially in the winter, when it snows, it's a play ground.

m-coupe hands down.
It will be a collector car in years to come, since there were very few produced. You rarely see them compared to STI's which everyone and their mom is getting recently. I personally liked the hawk-eye best, the new wagon just doesn't look sporty at all.
z4m takes a bit to get used to, but its so sexy
The s54 in z4m is a classic bmw engine. Plus this particular chassis shares a lot of parts off the BMW M3 CSL (brakes and some suspension components) -- what more can you want.

I've driven a few m coupes. Love the power and exterior. Hate the interior. The dash is ugly. The seats are nice though. I don't think I would buy one though. I couldn't see myself liking it as a daily (meaning for winter as well).
I've driven a few STi's as well. I like the styling. The interior isn't horrible. The power is great and I love the AWD. Personally I would go with an STi if I was to hav to drive it in the winter.
I don't like the price tag, service expense, and snotty asshole attitude that comes with the BMW. Most drivers are asshats who don't even know what kind of BMW they own. All they know is it has a badge on the hood that says BMW on it.
