Taking vacation..any insight?

I'm planning on going to Atlantis in Febuary. Does anyone know of any place I can get a deal?

To tell the truth I'm a little disheartend in just how expensive it is. I'm having trouble seeing the value in what they offer, other then just being a beautiful place. Perhaps I should broaden my search, and consider other tropical places.
Any reccomendations would be appreciated.

Don't go to Columbia!
I did that by mistake when I was 19...I figured its exotic..cheap and booze for miles.
It's also Mosquito's as big as pidgeons...drug cartels and guys who carry guns, say that they are cops..and you really aren't too sure about it.
But I did get a bunch of emeralds for nothing while I was there....

I've sailed throughout the Bahamas (4X)... love 'em. Wouldn't recommend Nassau and Paradise Island though... unless the casino thing is your thing. Spent a few days there last February - had a boat to bring back to the states, and the winds kept us there...I know some "cool" smaller places, but it depends on what you want. Atlantis is WAY COOL - lots to do - golf, swimming, loosing money, etc., and Nassau offers opportunities - day trips to Allen Cay (large iguanas..., great snorkelling), but kind of sucks otherwise.
Rum is cheap....
