yeah - really have someone evaluate your infrastructure given your application needs. 1 server doesn't really make much sense there. if it really is a tight constraint, consider other things to get the load off the server (SSL accl was a good suggestion).

even if you're only sending boolean values back and forth, the horsepower required to open, maintain, and close the SSL connections is probalby going to kill the server, not the actual app stuff.
