Default TMP June 29th

Just thought I'd throw it out there. I know it's last minute however I thought if anyone wanted to come along it would be a good evening to take the cars for a rip. It will be my first time on the track in my S, so any tips on how not to spin out would be great lol (aside from not lifting).

Would be great, 'cept I need new tires before the next time I go and will not be picking them up until tomorrow.

Possibly in July on the 6 or 13 or 27.

As for the track, have fun, start slow and work your way up to fast.

Watch for the yellow cones at the turn-in points and the red cones at the apex.

Aim for them.

Cheers!

I wish I could be there! Have fun!

remember... slow in fast out.
and if you go into a corner too hot, don't lift off the throttle or you will be cutting the grass for them

And if you're cutting the grass make sure they pay you on the way out.

Curious, so what do you do in that situation

you've got two options.

1. Keep your foot in the throttle and slide through the corner. Our cars oversteer and the rear end starts to slide - like drift. Sliding/Drifting slows you down and you oversteer through the corner.
2. Don't go into the corner so hot. Practice slow in fast out. Every lap, try to turn in a little bit faster. You will be able to tell when you're near the limit. If you can master this, you will be faster than 80% of those driving s2k's.

Well I mean when you oversteer as well there is the potential of spinning out again right ... your tail kicks out, you lose control, you're in the grass..

Yes... if you oversteer too much.... I don't mean slam on the gas pedal on turn in, just keep you foot in it and give a little gas to start sliding.
If you lift, I can guarantee you 100% that you will spin.

If the rear end kicks out you lift up on the throttle but NOT off the throttle. Remember, DO NOT lift off completely. Combine this with looking where you want to go and steering where you want to go. The s2000 specifically will come back to center so fast it will snap you back the other way so be always on your toes.
