Default Turf Race...maybe?

My buddy and I were watching Top Gear a couple days ago, and I decided I was going to do one of their challenges.

Me and some friends are going to buy some <$500 cars off craigslist and race them in a field until they blow up. A true rubbing is racing experience.

I figure with a bunch of guys to cover costs for towing the heaps away after, and perhaps a rental of someones field we'd be in for less than $1000.00

If I put it together, would anyone be interested at some point this summer?

The hardest thing is finding a place to do it. If anyone has any ideas let me know.

If you're interested, let me know as well, and I'll post again as I figure it out.

Well there ya go, that looks like a more organized version of what I want to do.

Mine was going to be a little more free for all, and probably involve more beer.

CAA? hmm might be cheaper to get a membership on all the cars eh?

I seriously haven't looked into all the logistics of this yet, I just know it can be done, and while more expensive then a track day, I'm willing to bet the riot that ensues will be worth it.

This was the episode that inspired me&feature=related

Ive got a Civic and a Celica I do this with in my field all the time. Once you are done with the cars any junk yard will come get them and give you 25$. Scrap is high right now, if you can get them to the scrap yard yourself they should bring no less than 200$ per car.

I doubt anyone will let you come on their property as its a pretty dangerous idea and if anyone gets hurt they will be liable. Try the Burkton pits... or just come to Trudeau Park for may 24 weekend .
