Default Vibration on heavy accel.. need advice

hey guys, i'm in need of some information. i recently purchased some springs from a fellow s2ki'r and after i installed them i'm getting a very bad vibration from the rear end. almost feels like a U-joint or an unbalanced tire. I've read some information on s2ki about driveshaft spacers? can anyone shed some light on this please, i know most of you have lowered your cars, have you experienced the same thing? i know all the bolts are tight so i have ruled that out. wheels are torqued to spec. everything looks just fine..

thanks for the help.
Sean

I had the same issue when I first had my coils installed. And it was because I didn't have driveshaft spacers installed. I'm not sure about the technicalities of it all, but I remember it being something to this; a new groove is dug into the driveshaft from the new ride hide. And as you're accelerating, the driveshaft is bouncing back and forth between the original and new groove which is causing the vibration. I got it addressed really quickly before I needed to replace the entire driveshaft. There's a thread about this somewhere in the forums but I dont' have it handy. Someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

you can swap CV boots (swap left/right, CV boots only not full CV joint) or get drive shaft spacers.. there should be lots of threads with more information

That's what it was. I did this. Speedstar did a great job and the vibrations were gone.

How much does Speedstar charge to swap cv boots? I might consider bringing it to them instead of doing it myself if its reasonable

Hmm why would switching just the boot matter or are you talking about the entire end spline that goes into the hub? I am really worried about roasting my axels. I think the spacers are my best bet.
