Default WebGurus........

Ok, trying to embed a quicktime video......

Works fine in Firefox and everything looks right. In Internet explorer it looks like shit. The tables get all messed up and the video ends up at the bottom and my menu is even gone.

Here's the link: http://www.cartalkcanada.com/index.php?content=video

Anyone have any ideas?

Send Hyper a PM.

You probably missed some end coding for your tables. I remember I had that issue between IE and Firefox before.

I hate IE, and the funny thing is I copied my code identical from the contacts and just put the video in, so I don't see how I missed a tag...

If you find a problem, let me know

In the mean time (after I drive home) I'm going to try putting it within a iframe.

I was able to see your source code, but can't view the page properly.

Were you trying to play both clips at once? cuz when I opened with FF, one was playing in WMV and my QT was asking me to upgrade.

Yeah I have 2 videos on there one WMV and one QT, but the stupid thing is I set them both to NOT autoplay yet they do.

It's just a test page for now obviously.... Actually I'll remove the QT its the WMV we will be going with.

Mike, I'll ask him about that.

Hyper, I made an iFrame and put the page inside of that and it seems to work.....

Except the wmv won't load in IE, yet it loads in FF, now that is funny.

look at the error details of the WMV, this is the link it was looking for (see bold):

u may have to check ur paths

http://www.cartalkcanada.com/vidoes/cts-v.wmv

its working fine in FF cuz the URL u have in the <embed> tag is correct.

its the one in the <object> tag that's wrong.
