you don;t have to....i've sold 2 cars in the past outright to dealers....you don't get the best price or the tax savings on another pick-up, but it doesn't get any easier....

Yes, you not looking to replace?

If not, good luck - you're in for a headache.....

I'd replace it if there was something I wanted, and I would want to spend money on right now....and there's not much I can think about.

I wanted a change, but don't know what to change to. I'd rather save my money and trade in the S and M together, but I'm not going to blow my brains out and spend big money right now.

I'm not in a rush to replace either, so going to the dealer just means rape.

It'd be what I'd do if I was going to buy something in Canada too, but considering the dollar it makes a lot of sense to buy something out right in the US.

A BMW in the US is a no brainer, still under warranty up here and you save a bunch of dough. Funny how that sounds like less effort to me for some reason even though I know it won't be

Of course I would go to the US, but I still can't think of anything I feel like right now. Everything is so expensive.

I will say one thing, if I was in the market for a new sportscar, I'd probably end up with the S again, its such a bargain.

My S2000 trade was independant of my NSX.

It happened at the same time, but my NSX had nothing to do with it.

I got my NSX from the Acura dealer - they wanted nothing to do with my S2000.

I wholesaled the S2000 to Exec Fine Cars or someone. Oscar bought my car from that dealer.

Hard to justify $125 on a car when you're home a week a month.

OK - so if he trades it, he gets $23k plus the tax savings = $26.5k.

If he sells it privately, he should get $27k.

Who cares about that diff?

One thing that you fackers are forgetting is that he hasnt driven this car in years. Same for you Vince. Your S2000 are kept around for Salamanders only. James even chooses his M5 when he goes to Mosport.

James, you know that you will never get more for your car then in the spring, and the opportunity cost of keeping the car that you never drive is hurting you more then anything. If you try to sell it privately, your lazy ass will just put it off. When you consider the tax savings, youre just as well to trade it. Plus, its the only way that I see you legitimately getting off your ass to do something about the car.

Just trade it and be done with it. If one of the new guys looking for a great S2000 doesnt ante up soon, trade it.
