not sure if "brand" of spring makes a differene, but i had aftermarket progressive springs in my car and my stock shocks were toast after about 30K, even though i kept them in longer.

i knew they were shot however -

jackson, if you drive your car everday, you will be able to tell when you're shocks are worn. i have 80K on my car, so i know it pretty well....i can sense when something's not right.

FWIW, i had the same springs....KG/MM sports.

Jackson, the car will feel loose, bouncy and not stable during high-speed lane changes. It is hard for some people to notice because they live with it everyday and it is hard for them to notice a difference because the deterioration is often slow. A good Honda mechanic can give you a better idea of how they are doing if you are unsure.

with BuddyClub, you can slam your car fairly low

Jon you need to post a pic of your car when it was first lowered at SpeedStar

thanks tripal-h & plyrs 3,

thanks for the advices, i bought the car used at 18000KM, so i didn't know how the stock shocks originally feels like.

anyway, i will put on the KG/mm race springs and drive for another 2yrs, then change to coilovers.
