Dome LEDs popped my fuses also and fried my wiring with a 15A fuse.

Picked them up at Homecoming for $10. MY2000 stock bulbs working normal. Popped the OEM 7.5 fuse, popped a 10 also, decided to try a 15 and smoke started coming out. It fried my wires Might just be the 2000s with a 7.5 fuse.

Love the keyhole plugs and plate LEDs. Big thumbs down on the Dome LEDs
sorry to hear that... is there anything else grounding that might be grounding out?

anyone else popping fuses?

Yup, my dome lights popped the 7.5a fuse when I installed them. I knew the fuse was blown so I just proceeded to install both dome lights. After installing, I replaced the fuse and all seems good. Worried about the fried wires though? Seriously?? I think for those installing them, prob good idea to disconnect the battery first or remove the fuse before installing.

I just got home at 1:30 last night.

I tried installing them again to figure out why there were blown fuses. It seems that the heatsink for the LEDs could be touching the terminals causing the fuse to pop.

I have become aware of a problem with this dome light: .
This is only an issue with the dome lights that were ordered for the PreOrder and later, and LEDs bought at Homecoming 2. The heatsink for the LED can potentially cause a bridge between the two terminals holding the dome light causing a short. Please do not put a bigger fuse in an attempt to make them work.

I will be replacing all of the LEDs because of this issue. Please send me a PM with the following title: ***** Dome LEDs *****. Please include your first and last name, and your address. I will keep you updated on your replacements. I have contacted the manufacturer to get a different type of LED bulb.

Sorry for the bad luck.

You never want to put larger fuses in, when you're blowing them, unless you know what is causing it, and that the circuitry and wiring can handle them.

Fuses are there to protect the car. If you ignore the warnings (fuses blowing), the fuses do no good.

The Amber turn signals will be delivered tomorrow. They were delivered after I left for HC2 and I wasn't home.
All the orders for Ambers will be sent out tomorrow.

Also, any outstanding orders after I left for HC2 will be going out today.

Red face

Hey Joey my PM box are too full since my membership is being renewed at the moment.
so here's my PM

hey Joey, sorry I missed you at HC. I ordered everything for my car (including dome lights) amber sigals, white license plates, etc.

I'm not sure if it was pre-order or not, I just paid for everything. Should I be concerned? Did my LED's come in?

Thanks again

Paul
