Thanks for the thorough review! It seems to be pretty close to the consensus for this exhaust. Comparing to other exhausts out there it's not one of the quietest nor is it loud by any means. We have it on a test vehicle and it has gotten quieter over time so you're hearing's still intact!
As for the part that hits, try using different holes or the AP1 hangers if you have an AP2. Or sometimes the connections between the sections have some play that can be adjusted or will "settle" into place after a little driving. Every car is built a little different so there's quite a lot of adjustability in these 2 areas to play with to get it to sit the way you want.

^ I had to do some fiddling with mine to get it to not hit anything, but I eventually did get it to fit perfectly. The mid muffler has very little clearance around it.
