Please excuse my ignorance, as I am still mostly in the research phase of getting a hardtop.

I'm leaning towards just removing my soft top and all associated hardware. With these mounts, will I be able to retain my interior trim (the brushing, etc)? I saw in a few pics that the interior had been removed around the brackets.

Also, do these mounts do anything to help reduce the small gap at the bottom of the typical Mugen style tops? I am looking at a Forbidden-USA top, but I've noticed that, in some pictures, there is quite the gap at the bottom by the trunk. Other pictures, the gap is minimal. Will these mounts help with that at all?

Lastly, these completely eliminate the need to re-use my soft top latches, strikers and catchers, correct?

Thanks a lot!
