2012 SPGP is confirmed!
like last year, I am pretty much open to any cars participating in the decal program. If you want in, sign up. It did not fill with s2ks last year so we had several non-S cars in there.
A little update on the Indycar series for those who may not know:
2012 marks the start of a brand new chassis for the series and the return of additional engine suppliers. Honda has been the sole source engine supplier for many years and this year Chevrolet & Lotus will join Honda. This should make the racing even more competitive and less of a "spec" series.
All the chassis are the same for 2012 however beginning in 2013 teams will be allowed to develop additional aero kits (front and rear wings & side pods) within the rule specifications to get better performance from their cars. So the series should become even more competitive in 2013. This is a return to how things were prior to the CART/IRL split of the early 90's although there were multiple chassis mfgs involved vs a single chassis with different aero kits. This approach is designed to control costs.
So while the SPGP title sponsor is Honda it would be entirely appropriate for a Chevrolet to be sporting SPGP decals.
BTW All the race teams have taken delivery of their new chassis's and they will be at Palm Beach International Raceway on January 13 & 14 and at Sebring on January 16 & 17 for open testing.

Usually includes 2 tickets for Fri, Sat, Sun (GA) and a parking pass. Parade lappers park on-site. Decal only get a parking pass for the volunteer lot. Few other perks as well IIRC.
