Yea outside of the loan I wont be losing much money on this car thank god for that! I need something that will last me a couple of years until I am done with school, I would love to get back in a dc2 but I don't really want to spend anything more than maybe 2500 and that wont get me much with an integra. I may have to go domestic just to stay cheap

I just hope that I will still be allowed to come to a few more meets b4 I leave even if I don't have the S! The best s2k group out there!

FYI: when I move from Lauderdale to Ocala, my insurance was cut in half.

It will be the opposite for you. Something to check on and include in your budget.
Gas prices, too. I think it's more expensive down there.
Got an alarm - living in 305?
It might just be less hassle/ less stress to part with the S for now, get a beater (Honda, of course) and dream of the next 'dream' car. There's always another one on the horizon.

School is something you need to dedicate yourself to (expecially Engineering). Cars come and go. A good education will land you a great job which will allow you to get into that dream ride of the future.

Good luck in school.

Hope is NOT need! You are always welcome now and later no matter what you drive! Hell - we still put up with Billy's ship and drives a FORD pickemup... If you show for HGPSP next year I may need another driver for the S in the parade lap!

like i said look for a gen1 mr2 if your looking for fun..they can cost from 1500.00-4500.00 for a decent one, higher for a really good one.
shop around and find an honest mechanic to look the car over.
good luck

I had to sell my s to pursue school and do minimal work once I got out of the military.

It sucks, but they are getting sooo cheap, you'll be able to get a better one soon after you get a real job.

Shit, just call into Dave's show. He gives advice on the air and would love this kind of call.
Dave's advise would be to sell the car regarless of being upside down, the payment on the balance is less than the payment n the whole amount, go to a credit union and get a signature loan to pay off all 3 CCs , this will get you a rate less than the 21% - 23% rapes the CCs have. Your payment total will be close to the same but with a lower rate lees of payment will be going to finance charges and youll be able to accually pay them off where as if you do the minumum payments they last as long as you make thay payments, youll end up paying 25k for the 6k balances you have now. if you did not get the best rate on the S than you could see about a re- fi on that otherwise lose tha car payment and get another S once you get through school, maybe by then Ill be ready to sell mine to you and Ill find a CR

The rate I am paying on my car is pretty good, I wanna say 5.15 or soemthing like that. I just need to get rid of it. I will save myself between 350-400/month if I get rid of it, and that can go towards paying off my CC's faster etc! Once I can figure out how I will come up with the difference of being upside-down I will be posting it up for sale.

For you guys that have seen my car, do you think 14.5k obo is a good place to start? The only thing I am worried about is how bad of a shape my top has gotten to!

(03 with 53k miles, OEM front lip, Tein s-tech springs, berk test pipe, K&N filter) I hope I can get somewhere close to 14k for it but I am worried seeing as how low these prices are getting.

Mine was 14k all that was said and done after taxes was 16400.00...and that was a dealer price with 46k miles on it..and had a neurospeed bar under the hood....the car was an exlease.....it really depends on the area, around here there are alots of em..when i went to baltimore i only saw 2 the whole week...
i was upside down on my golf when i bought the s.... but also you can consolidat that with you credit cards once you aply for that type of loan.
also i thought of one thing if you are close to school say...7 miles and your girlfried has a car you might want to think in buying a scooter or motorcycle.....you can get a new cruzer around 3 thousand..just a tought

Start cuting back now its not hard. Turn cable off that saves u easy $50-100 or more a month, cut cell phone down or just get a home phone much cheaper, food cut way down and no more beer that saves a bunch, eat in dont eat out more savings, rent movies instead of paying $10 a person sometimes more, make youre deductable higer on the insurance that lowers the monthly cost. There are plenty of things u can do and u have to start now and start now looking for a job dont wait till you are there for that. Oh and if the car is making it so u are broke there and geting behind on bills sell the car. Its only a car you can always get another S2000 its not like there a rare car to find. Hope this all helps you out
