Most important thing!

Get the Air Force to pay for your higher education. Don't get lazy there are not many job opening for Jet mechanics on the outside. You will get more job offers by having a degree or even an advance degree.

Either that or you could be flying the F-16 instead of working on it.
I heard the best time to go for the CCAF is to do it at your permanent duty station. Trust me, I have no intentions of slacking off because the moment I get stationed and get situated, I'm gonna work hard to get my BA in Aerospace Engineering and try really hard to become an officer. I'm gonna take whatever advantages/oppurtunities that I can to succeed. Right now I just have to take things one step at a time and think straight and get everything situated.

Keep that in mind especially in a few months. When you get to your duty station its just more changes, more to learn, fitting in, getting situated, etc- before you know it you're in a routine and its easy to loose sight of your personal goals. The military will definately get their money's worth out of you - make sure you get what you can out of them - whether its comissioning or just using your TA to achieve whatever goals you have for yourself - do it to it.

I know you're still "Mr. Airforce" fresh out of training - but seriously consider what you want to do in life and tailor your educational needs around it. There is a real world beyond the military that you'll be a part of again whether it be 4 years or 20+ - something a lot of people loose sight of when in.

Good luck with everything and let us know where you get stationed!

No, there aren't any spare f-16 parts that will fit the s, lol.

I will still keep my personal goal in mind and that is still to get a BA primarily because I want to be successful in my life, plus I want to show my parents that I achieve something within my life even though they are proud of me but its something I just want to prove to myself and them. Realistically, I want to become a pilot and pretty much all the instructors including my own at basic told me that if you have the drive and determination then it can be accomplished.

Most supervisors wont let you take college courses until after u finish your CDC's and get your five skill level. You will also be doing shift work.

Keep your eye on the goal and don't be discouraged.
