4th of July Parade Info

It would be a great opportunity to meet a few S owners and have some fun to start your 4th!

Oh great! He already has mod A.D.D. when it comes to the MazdaSpeed.

P.S. I'm Evil S2K's wife, Jennifer. Looking forward to coming out to some meets sometime soon.

Welcome Jennifer!
Thank you, thank you!

These boards are going to take some getting used to. They're a bit different than the Mazda boards. Hehehe!

I burn a GOOD quart every 3-5K miles, but I drive like a maniac on they highway twice a week on a very regular basis.

182,000 miles and still runs like a champ.

02 S2K (AP1)
Mobil1, but I've heard Mobil1 burns more than other sythetics.

Once you figure out what mods you plan on, s2kpuddydad and S&R performance (sub-zero) are some names you should remember. Great guys, great work.

Some tips:
check the convertible top rubbing thread (don't have a hyperlink, but it's here somewhere). It could save you a couple thousand dollars.

look into a upgraded front sway bar. Don't know if the AP2's are as bad as the AP1's, but there's this little thing called snap-oversteer that can get you into trouble REAL QUICK.

WELCOME AND HAVE FUN!!

I was thinking of using Mobil1 as I've always ran that in my Mazdaspeed Protege and liek it a lot hmmm I might have to look into it some more like you said.

Yes, I knew about the secret compartment since the first S we test drove hehe

oh, and the "old guy" was like 70s I think hahaha the dash has a lovely Brookstone compass to verify this....I need to take that off soon lol

Welcome from one of the old guys!

Let the modding begin!

Be careful you could be one of the old guys. We had 16 year old that hung with us for quite awhile.

hmmm ok, thanks for the tips. I know a friend of mine prefer Castrol Syntec in his so maybe thats a better choice. Is 10w-30 the typical weight used for our temps down here?

I've done a bunch of research before we purchased and of course a lot of that was on the top issue. I'll have to make sure to find the correct part of the frame to check for the issue and file the burrs down if needed to save the headache...

as far as mods, we'll probably keep it at a minimum for a while. the main things I want are the AP2 front Chin spoiler, the trunk spoiler(the lip not the pedestal) and a K&N FIPK intake

and seat locks of course...which i need to order shortly.

Yup!

Where are you from? How long in Florida?

Remember old is a relative term, I don't consider myself old and I can always take comfort in the knowledge that Sub-Zero is "older" and more mature than me!
