Default New mods...figured I would share

It's kinda dead in here so I figured I would post up about what I have done to the car lately in preparation for an upcoming track day.

Last time I was at the track my brakes were heating up quite a bit. I decided to make my own brake cooling ducts. I wanted to buy those new WASP Composite ones, but they wouldn't fit with my intercooler piping and oil filter/thermostat location. I ended up making my own out of carbon fiber. I also modified my dust shields to accept the 2.5 high temp silicone hoses.

Here is a close up of the duct in the front bumper... it was hard to take a good picture...looks a lot better in person.

I also decided to make my own cooling plate designed after the stock air guide. I never really like the ones that mount on top of the support. I think this looks like it came this way!

After all this, I finally got around to making a shroud for my SPAL fan instead of using the universal mounts.

Heading to the track next week... hopefully the brakes perform better than last time!!

It can be tricky, but it's not too bad.

Came out great Paul, that duct can almost pass as being oem. What track day are you going to?

we go to The Firm in Starke... it's cheap, great setup, and you can run until you're sick of driving.
