As a novice to this event, I really appreciate all the help offered by the decal veterans. Work has me tied up till noon on sat. but can be there after lunch (driving from Spring Hill). I would imagine car has too be cool to apply.
I've also cleared schedule for thurs-sun of event so I'm available for any help needed.

 

Temp of the car really isn't an issue however your car should be freshly washed and also bring what ever detail spray and some micro fiber towels etc that you sue to touch it up.

The decals are applied with a water/liquid soap solution and you will want to wipe the car down after the decals are applied and dried. There will be drips and water runs and you will want and need to clean it up so you look sharp when you sport them home.

Allow time to let the decals dry before the backing paper can be pulled off, applying the decals to the car really doesn't take very long however depending on the weather it can tai 1 to 2 hours for them to "dry".

From another decal n00b, thanks for the heads up on how they work.

Does anyone have any pictures of where the decals go, or what they look like on the car?
I'm going to have to leave the windshield decal off for a week or two, as well as possibly the door decal, depending on placement and size. I'm taking the car to a national auto-x in Georgia, and I need to have a TireRack decal on the windshield, as well as numbers and other required logos on the doors, and a few other places.

Looking forward to seeing everyone next Sat. I'm guessing we will head into town Friday night, and meet you at LHT whenever everyone is planning on getting there.
Should we bring anything aside from car cleaning stuff?

 

Not the best pic but gives you an idea.. I will be at the shop with John by 8:30ish.. I would assume people will start to show after 9. I am thinking people may be going to the Reeve's Cars and Coffee.. but we shall see. Bring a chair if you plan on staying the whole day.. most people do. It's a really fun day!

Also don't forget .. we will be offering some specials for that day.. I am talking it over with John to see what we can come up with.. look for an announcement soon

Paul or John (LHT): get in touch with me to confirm we are all good for that day. I can bring the decals and supplies to the shop tomorrow to have on stand-by. let me know what you have planned as far as start time etc. I think some of the guys want to do reeves cars and coffee that morning so maybe a mid/late morning start. Please post a reply stating what time you would like to start.

Barry, John, Ron, Scott, anyone willing to help install: I will have diagrams for placement and a list of who gets what color etc Most of you know the drill for what goes where. Just make sure you follow the body line on the doors and not leveling to the street.


ANYONE NOT ABLE TO ATTEND MARCH 3rd DECAL PARTY: You can arrange to have me install the decals another day (ASAP)at my house or close by my house - OR - message me your address and I will mail them to you for you to install.


Tickets and passes etc are still coming.

Everyone involved: MAKE SURE I HAVE YOUR ADDRESS so i can mail you your ticket packages if I have to.
